Portfolio Website

Project Name: Portfolio Website

The Goal

Create a fully responsive website that showcases personal brand, projects completed, and experience with web design and development. Site must have a portfolio, about, contact and resume section.

The Process

In terms of design, many choices made came directly from my personal brand that was determined from the personal branding project (below) After that, it was all about showcasing the information in a way that made sense and would be flexible to display in different sized viewports.

The Challenges

Completely hand coding a responsive website with just HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript.

Stationary

Project Name: Personal Branding

The Goal

Design a set of stationery (business package) that incorporates personal brand. Business card must include personal brand, name, and email address. Letterhead must include personal brand, name, address and phone number and/or email address. Envelope must include personal brand and return address.

The Process

After completing numerous exercises that related to personality and brand, it was determined that the colors for my personal brand would consist of various shades of blue. Blue is a calming, focused color that is not underwhelming or overwhelming. Blue is also the color of trust, loyalty, and wisdom.

Business Cards

As a print and digital designer and front-end web developer, one of my favorite things about the designs I create is seeing a bunch of smaller elements come together to form a finished product. This is depicted through the triangle graphics I created - the smaller triangles that stand alone gradually build up to form a larger graphic. For a stark contrast against the white and light shades of blue, I also incorporated black to stand out.

The Challenges

Building a cohesive business package that reflected my brand and who I am, getting sizes correct.
